
Ed Clarke
Co Founder, Infracapital
Ed Clarke is Co Founder of Infracapital, the European infrastructure investment arm of M&G plc, a leading international savings and investments business. Since inception in 2001, Infracapital has managed over €9billion of client capital and invested in over 60 businesses focused on providing essential infrastructure to meet the changing needs of society. Ed has made investments across a broad range of geographies and sectors including in Energy Transition, Transportation, Public Private Partnerships and Digital Infrastructure. Notable investments of Ed's career include: Associated British Ports, the UK's largest ports group; Zenobe, large scale battery storage and fleet electrification; and GB Railfreight, the UK's leading rail freight operator. Prior to Infracapital Ed worked in investment banking advising on mergers and acquisitions and infrastructure projects. As part of this, Ed spent a couple of years advising on infrastructure projects in post apartheid South Africa. He is married with three children and has a degree from Edinburgh University.
