James Matthews

Scotland Bureau Chief, Sky News

I am the Scotland Bureau Chief for Sky News. My job involves covering news primarily in Scotland but also abroad. I have been a journalist for over 30 years. I began my career as a radio reporter at Metro Radio in Newcastle, then joined Independent Radio News in London. My first job in TV was with Scottish Television, before joining Sky News in 1995. In terms of my education, my primary school was St. John’s, Portobello and then Holy Rood High in Edinburgh. I studied French at the University of Stirling, followed by a course in radio journalism at the London College of Printing.
