Peter Ives

Peter read Environmental Management at Birmingham University and is a chartered member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). He has over 10 years’ experience working in the construction industry as a sustainability professional, particularly on large infrastructure projects such as HS2 and the redevelopment of Waterloo Station. Peter manages all aspects of environment and sustainability including noise and vibration, ecology and water discharge. He currently works for Skanska and has been involved in the trial of a tool to measure social value and the ongoing objective of reducing carbon. Skanska UK has committed to net-zero carbon emissions on all its UK projects, by 2045. Peter enjoys painting, reading and playing sport in his time outside of work.
