Robert Arnott is Director of Strategy, Social Mobility and Disadvantage at the Department of Education and is also Chair of Trustees of the Cardinal Hume Centre. Following a PhD and research fellowships in neuroscience, Robert has held a series of increasingly senior civil service appointments, in the Home Office and the Cabinet Office and now the DfE. Robert can talk about working for Ministers, how the State works, development and implementation of public policy, and responding to crises.
