Speakers for Schools Programme
We provide both in-person and virtual inspirational talks and career talks through our network of more than 1,500 speakers and employers.
Our aim is to share life lessons, advice, and insights into a speaker’s own career journey and their sector, which demystifies careers and pathways, builds self-belief, fuels ambitions, and helps 11-19-year-old state-educated students to imagine what they could be in the future and achieve success.

Types of talks on offer
01
Inspirational talks
Our high-profile and influential speakers visit state schools and colleges to share their diverse life stories. These talks feature inspiring journeys through fields such as business, politics, entertainment, sport, and more, as well as themes like Black History Month, Pride, and International Women’s Day, and can be linked to specific programmes and industries, including our IntoTech talk series.
02
Career talks
Professionals from organisations are eager to share their in-person insights into careers and industries. These talks aim to provide young people with an inside track on career pathways and opportunities, practical guidance on how businesses operate, knowledge of what employers seek when recruiting, and a solid understanding of the skills and qualities they will need for their future workplace.
03
Live broadcasts
Our virtual inspirational and career talks feature everyone from Michelin-star chefs to tech CEOs, intrepid adventurers, and apprentice engineers. They are accessible live and online through our site and recorded for our talks library, where they can serve as classroom resources or be watched at any time. Each talk is listed on our upcoming broadcasts schedule for quick and easy registration.

“I learnt there are a huge variety of jobs out there, and you don’t necessarily need qualifications to do certain jobs. Also, experience is important as each role you take can help with the next task in future jobs or responsibilities, as skills are very transferable.”
