Andrew Law

Chair of the Board of Trustees

Andrew Law is the Chairman and CEO of Caxton Associates, a forty two year-old global macro hedge fund.  Prior to Caxton he was Managing Director, Goldman Sachs, as head of proprietary trading in London.  Andrew attended a state school in Manchester and gained a First-Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Sheffield in 1987.


His philanthropic interests include his role as a founding Chair of both AL Philanthropies (formerly Law Family Charitable Foundation) and AL Elevation (formerly Law Family Educational Trust) which sponsors a 16 school multi-academy trust in Greater Manchester.

Robert Peston

Founder of Futures For All,
ITV Political Editor

Robert Peston is ITV’s political editor, presenter of the politics show “Peston” and the podcast “The Rest is Money”, and founder of our charity, Futures For All. He has written seven critically acclaimed books, including his two latest, “Bust?” – on how to fix the malaise in the UK and the West – and a thriller set in the financial crisis, “The Crash”. Peston has won more than 30 awards for his journalism, including Journalist of the Year, Specialist Journalist of the Year and Scoop of the Year (twice) from the Royal Television Society.

Sakhila Mona Mirza

President of Responsible Gold

Sakhila, a qualified lawyer, has worked in the financial services sector for 15 years, covering the oil markets and then moving to the precious metals market. Most of her career has focused on providing legal, regulatory and compliance advice, and building corporate governance programmes.


Currently she is the President at Responsible Gold, the blockchain-powered ecosystem for traceable and ethically sourced gold. She will oversee the firm’s next phase of growth, with a focus on advancing the practical implementation of responsible sourcing frameworks and supporting innovation across Responsible Gold’s digital offerings.


Sakhila previously served as London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) deputy CEO and general counsel for over a decade, where she led initiatives on responsible sourcing, market integrity and standards development. She played a key role in shaping global policies aimed at improving trust and transparency within the gold supply chain.


In addition, she has key relationships with government officials and regulators around the world and has spoken at several conferences, educating stakeholders on the developments within the precious metals market. Sakhila read law at the London School of Economics and went on to qualify as a solicitor.

Roland Rudd

Founding Partner at Finsbury

Roland Rudd is Chairman of Finsbury Glover Hering. He founded Finsbury 25 years ago and was Chairman throughout this time. He is a leader in corporate communications and provides personal counsel to board members and senior executives at the most critical moments for their companies.


Before Finsbury, he worked as a political and financial journalist primarily at the Financial Times.


He is Chair of Tate, Trustee for Futures For All, and the Bayreuth Festival. He is an ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society and the Made By Dyslexia campaign and is Chairman of the Governors of Millfield School. He is also an Honorary Fellow at Oxford School of Corporate Reputation and Regents College, Oxford University.

Ruth Spellman

Board member of the Education and Training Foundation

Ruth Spellman has been a leader and champion of education and training in Further, and Higher education for the past 30 years, at Investors in People, at the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, the Chartered Management Institute and at the Workers Educational Association. She served on the OU’s governing Council for 8 years and is a seasoned non executive director.


Highlights of her career are playing a key role in the formulation of education and skills policies, taking IIP into 33,000 workplaces, the award of an OBE for services to work place learning in 2007, and the lifetime achievement award from the TES for services to FE in 2020. Ruth is currently a Board member of the Education and Training Foundation, the Learning and Work Institute and a Trustee of Adviza which provides careers advice to young people and a 
career coach.

Ed Amory

Strategic Reputational Adviser

For the last fifteen years Ed has provided strategic reputational advice to globally significant individuals and organisations facing complex challenges, at a CEO and country leader level. Between 2021 and 2024, he was CEO of a consultancy based in London with offices in more than a dozen nations including South Africa, UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Germany and the UK. 


Ed initially worked as a political adviser in the UK, before spending more than a decade as a journalist and adviser to the editor and proprietor at the Daily Mail newspaper. He is a senior counsellor to Ashoka, the global network of social entrepreneurs. Ed lives in London and Devon, and is chair of the trustees of Britain’s national oak collection.

Joe Mathewson

CEO at StudentSafe

Joe is CEO at StudentSafe who bring unique technology and specialist expertise to school transport, helping schools increase admissions, reduce hassle & costs and improve parent satisfaction.


Previously Joe has worked on the trading floor at UBS and then founded, grew and sold edtech business Firefly Learning. Edtech SaaS platform Firefly Learning helps 900 schools across 50 countries better connect their students, teachers and parents. Firefly raised the largest Series A in UK edtech and went on to raise a Series B, acquire and integrate two other edtech businesses, achieve profitability and then exit to PE backed US edtech leader Veracross.

David Giampaolo

Founder and Chief Executive of Pi Capital

David is the Founder and Chief Executive of Pi Capital. He previously founded, built up and sold several businesses and health club chains in the US, Europe and Asia. David has financial interests in several other businesses and industries and has been involved as an investor, advisor and board member of some of the most successful health & fitness companies in the world.


David is Chairman of Oga Fit, Sarva and EXi, non-executive director of Agronomics and also a senior advisor to AMG (Affiliated Managers Group, Inc.) and BC Partners. David is a member of YPO, the Chief Executives Organization and the Global Leadership Circle of ONE. In addition, he is a trustee of Futures For All and patron of Pro Bono Economics.

Shriti Vadera, Baroness Vadera

Chair of Prudential plc

Baroness Vadera is the Chair of Prudential plc and the Chair of the Royal Shakespeare Company. She has previously held a variety of high-profile finance roles in both the public and private sectors spanning 35 years. She was previously the chair of Santander, a Director of AstraZeneca and Senior Independent Director of BHP. She has also worked in investment banking and as a government minister.


Shriti has supported SfS for nearly 15 years now, having regularly delivered Inspirational talks to our young beneficiaries throughout this period. In addition to being Chair of Prudential pls and of the RSC, she is co-chair of the World Bank Private Sector Investment Lab and co-chair of the Creative Industries Council. She is a non-affiliated peer in the House of Lords and an Ambassador for Futures For All.

Andy Haldane

Economist

Andy Haldane was most recently the Chief Executive of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA)*. He was formerly Chief Economist at the Bank of England and a member of the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee. He was also the Permanent Secretary for Levelling Up at the Cabinet Office from September 2021 to March 2022. Andrew is Founder and President of the charity Pro Bono Economics, Vice-Chair of the charity National Numeracy and Chair of the National Numeracy Leadership Council. Andrew chairs the Government’s Levelling Up Advisory Council and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre’s Industrial Board.


The respected economist has been announced as the new Chancellor of the University of Sheffield. He has regularly delivered Inspirational talks for Futures For All over almost 15 years now and is one of our Ambassadors.

Tim Allan

Chair of Strand Partners

Tim’s career has spanned business and politics. He initially worked for Tony Blair for 6 years. As Alastair Campbell’s deputy, he was part of the team which secured the 1997 General Election landslide victory and then worked as a Deputy Press Secretary in 10 Downing Street. He left Number 10 for a role at Sky, where he worked first as Director of Communications and then as part of the in house business strategy team.


In 2001, after his INSEAD MBA, he founded Portland. Over the course of 18 years as its Managing Director, Tim grew Portland into one of the most renowned reputation management companies in the UK. Its operations expanded into four continents, employing over 280 people. He sold the business to Omnicom Inc, with the sale completing in 2019. He now invests in communications businesses such as BB Partners and Strand Partners, the latter of which he chairs. He is an Ambassador for Futures For All and has delivered Inspirational talks on our behalf for over a decade.

Marcus Wareing

Michelin-starred Chef , TV Personality & Acclaimed Cookbook Author

Marcus Wareing’s contribution to British food and the next generation of cookery talent has made him one of the most respected and acclaimed chefs and restaurateurs in Britain.
His awards include Two Michelin stars, Tatler Restaurateur of the Year, GQ Chef of the Year, the Chef award at the Cateys and an Acorn Award.

Known for his role as a Judge on BBC TV Masterchef: The Professionals and cookery book author.

Originally from Southport, Merseyside, the son of a fruit and vegetable merchant, Marcus began his career aged 18. He received his first Michelin star at just 26 – one of only a handful of chefs to be recognised at this age. Over the last 35 years Marcus has been involved in the creation of some of London’s most celebrated restaurants.
