Aneela Rose

Aneela Rose is a British Pakistani mum, business founder, elite powerlifter and polar adventurer. She didn’t grow up confident or with a clear roadmap. Her belief was built slowly through discipline, hard work, setbacks and choosing to keep going when things felt uncertain.

With over 25 years’ experience across communications, leadership and business, Aneela began her career in manufacturing and IT before founding Rose Media Group in 2004. What started as a leap of faith has grown into a multi-award-winning PR and communications agency working with UK and international brands across engineering, manufacturing, food, retail and leisure. Her work has been recognised with multiple business awards, not as a badge of perfection, but as proof of what consistent, values-led effort can build over time.

Alongside business, sport has shaped how Aneela thinks about resilience and leadership. She competes internationally in powerlifting, has represented Team GB, and has won gold at World Championships level. Sport taught her that strength isn’t loud or instant, it’s built patiently, one choice at a time.

In February 2026, Aneela travelled solo to Svalbard in The High Arctic, the most northerly permanently inhabited place on Earth. As a woman of colour, the journey mattered deeply. It wasn’t about being first, but about being visible in spaces where people like her are rarely seen.

Today, Aneela speaks to students about confidence, leadership, identity and navigating uncertainty. She shares real experiences rather than perfect formulas, helping young people understand that it’s okay to figure things out as you go. She is proud to be an Ambassador for the Asian Sports Foundation and a committed advocate for Futures For All, supporting young people to believe in what might be possible for them too.
