Arabella Weir

Arabella is an actor and writer. She is best known as one of the stars of The Fast Show and currently as Beth in the hit BBC Scottish sitcom Two Doors Down. Her numerous television credits also include: Dr Who, Harry Enfield and Chums, Randall and Hopkirk Deceased, Spooks, Posh Nosh (which Arabella wrote and starred in with Richard E. Grant), the first two series of Skins, Drifters and Pure. Arabella was also a main contributor to the hugely successful GRUMPY OLD WOMEN shows on the BBC. She recently made her first soap appearance starring in Coronation Street. Along with the rest of the original cast, Arabella has just completed a UK, sell-out stadium tour of the Fast Show Live which goes on tour again in early 2027. In Spring 2027 Arabella will star in the 8th series of Two Doors Down, the live show of which is about to open at the Glasgow Hydro.

Arabella's first two novels Does My Bum Look Big In This? And Onwards and Upwards (published by Hodder & Stoughton and Penguin respectively) were both domestic and international best sellers.

Arabella sold out her first ever solo show Does My Mum Loom Big In This? at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019 prior to a sell-out UK wide tour in 2020 through to 2022.

Arabella has had weekly columns in, and written regularly for, the Guardian, Independent and the Daily Telegraph.

Arabella is an ambassador for Sarah Brown’s early years education charity, Theirworld, and a founding Trustee of Gordon Brown’s new charity Multibank UK which works with local charities including the Felix Trust. Arabella is also a trustee for, and volunteer at, the community gardens Sunnyside Gardens in North London where she lives.
