
Ben Malbon
Vice President, Marketing, Google
Ben runs Google's Brand Studio team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and leads many of Google’s brand and creative initiatives in EMEA. Ben’s been part of the team at Google for over 14 years. Previously based in NYC, he led the Art, Copy & Code Project, an innovation group focused on Google's Ads products that partnered with big brands such as Nike, Target and EA Sports. Prior to that he was Strategy Director then Managing Director of the Creative Lab in NYC where he led work on Chrome, Chromebooks and Chrome experiments.
Ben’s held senior strategy roles at the advertising agency BBH in both London and NYC, where he set up BBH Labs in 2008. Outside of work he's a non-executive director of Scottish Ballet, lives in London, has two children now at university and a cat called Sprite (who refuses to go to university). Prior to starting in advertising he completed a PhD in 'Clubbing in London'. He enjoys military history, the history of polar exploration, messing about in boats, old records and running.
