Guest Speaker My role as a systems operator within Control is extremely rewarding, especially with the responsibility of ensuring water storage supply is available and sufficient for customer usage at all times 24/7. Control is an instrumental department within Thames Water, always striving to provide our customers with wholesome water. Our department is now a much more diverse environment, mainly due to the introduction of woman systems operators during the 1990s. . Alongside my role I am a Mental Health First Aider which enables me to offer advice to colleagues as part of Thames Water’s Health and Wellbeing Programme - I take great pride in this role, as shift workers we realise this can have an impact to our wellbeing and it is important to me that my colleagues feel supported.
