Dr Kiren Collison
GP and Medical Director for Primary Care, NHS England
Dr Kiren Collison is a GP and the interim Medical Director for Primary Care for NHS England. Kiren was inspired by a career in medicine after learning that she could combine her interest in science with her love of listening, talking and learning from people. She is honoured that her patients are able to open up to her with their most personal thoughts and that she is involved in helping them through their concerns. Prior to becoming a GP, Kiren trained at Cambridge University and University College London. Kiren has a particular interest in preventing illness and tackling health inequalities. In addition, celebrating the diversity of the NHS workforce is also a passion and Kiren is keen to encourage people from all backgrounds to join the NHS family.
