Dr Mark Lowther

Mark is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, case study research projects and management consulting in the field of sport leadership. Contexts include mainstream sport organisations (in particular strategic planning, corporate governance, and people management) and elite sport environments (in particular high-performance cultures, team captaincy and leadership groups). Mark has sat on several advisory boards and worked with a range of elite sport teams. Prior to academia Mark worked at a senior level in the public and commercial sectors across leisure facility management and community sport development. His area of expertise for talks and presentations is Leading and Working Effectively in Teams – Insights from Elite Sport.
