Board Director, The Guardian, ex President, Google EMEA, World Medal winning rower
Matt is on the Board of the Guardian, having spent 18 years leading at Google, the last ten running Europe, Middle East and Africa - making products work for over a billion people, running a huge and varied business and working with policy makers, companies and communities to make technology work for good. His career involved working in property, news publishing, consulting and for non-profits. He’s also into sitting down sports, a rower, sailor and cyclist who competed in the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, was a member of the GB rowing team in the Seoul Olympics and won medals at world championships. He's been a TV commentator on rowing for over ten years and all of this rests on his an amazing wife, two grown up sons, very small dog and tens of thousands of bees.
