Mitesh Sheth MBE

Mitesh Sheth is a proud British Indian, a practicing Hindu, a vegan and doesn’t drink alcohol. Growing up his parents worked multiple jobs to make ends meet as immigrants to the UK from Africa, as did their parents when they emigrated from India. He went to a state school in Crawley, then got into LSE to study Actuarial Science. After graduating he spent a year reconnecting with his roots at an Indian monastery, Tatvagnan Vidhyapeeth (School of Philosophy).

Mitesh started his career at Aon Consulting as an investment analyst, then was headhunted into Watson Wyatt as a fixed income manager researcher and investment consultant. He became a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) in 2004. Switching across into fund management, Mitesh spent a number of years at Henderson Global Investors, latterly as Head of Fixed Income until 2012. He worked as an independent strategy consultant driving culture change and innovation across the industry, before being appointed as CEO of Redington in April 2016. During his leadership. Redington closed the gender pay gap, was recognised as an inclusive employer and became a B-Corp. He was recognised in HRH The Queen’s New Year’s Honours list in Jan 2022, awarded an MBE for leadership in diversity and inclusion across the investment industry by HRH Prince William.

Mitesh is now CEO for the Dharma Endowment Fund and is also the founder of OrgAlpha, helping other executive teams develop inclusive cultures, where diverse talent can innovate and collaborate to create a more sustainable and equitable future for all. He is a Board Director at Inclusion in Finance (previously the Diversity Project) and iHeartPrinciples a mental health and resilience charity for young people. Mitesh is married with 3 (nearly) adult children.
