Nick Godwin

With over 30 years experience working in factual television, Nick trained at the National Film and TV School and began his career as a documentary director making films for major British and North American broadcasters. Amongst his many adventures, work has taken him to isolated Pitcairn Island where he chronicled a sex crimes trial; the South Side of Chicago where he filmed street gang, the Vice Lords; and Timbuktu for a history series about Africa. Later he became an executive producer overseeing large teams in Britain and North America, making a slate of documentaries including the award winning Nazi Hunters series and feature documentary, Manson. In 2013 he founded his own company BriteSpark Films specializing in high end documentaries, current affairs and popular factual shows. After building BriteSpark into one of Britain’s leading production companies, Nick sold BriteSpark and stepped back in 2026. He continues to work as a freelance executive producer and consultant.
