Paul Boal

Hi, I’m Paul Boal, a Creative Director from Belfast.

Since graduating in 2010, I've freelanced, studio-hopped, and held down several roles in design, before founding Clever Ghost in 2018.

Clever Ghost is a brand and design studio with a mission to influence positive change through clever design. Together, we've united a collective of creatives and clients with shared values and a passion for all things branding. We focus on delivering thoughtful, idea-driven work for our clients that resonates with their audiences.

Over the years, we've worked with everyone from one-person start-ups to multinationals, collaborating with the Irish Football Association, evian, the BBC, Liberty IT, CIVICA, Toyota, multiple marketing agencies, plenty of independent SMEs and various forward-thinking individuals.

Alongside running Clever Ghost, I lecture part-time in Creative Media at Belfast Metropolitan College and speak at events on design, creativity and the realities of building a creative career.
