Roger Mavity

My first career was in advertising. I started my own agency in 1981, won significant clients - including Minolta, Burberrys, Nestle, Honda - and sold to a French group in 1991. I then joined Granada Group, first as CEO of the Leisure division and then as CEO of the Technology Division. 

While at Granada I also handled communications for Granada's successful bid for Forte group: still the largest hostile takeover in British commercial history. After 12 years at Granada I left to become chairman of Citigate, a leading public relations company. 

In 2006, I left to become CEO of Conran Group, which I left in 2013 to concentrate on writing books.
