Rosie Millard OBE

I am an arts journalist working across print, broadcasting and books.  I was the BBC's Arts Correspondent for a decade and have written for most of the national papers and news magazines across a range of arts, celebrity and entertainment subjects. I've also done travel journalism and lots of opinion columns. I am chair of Firstsite contemporary art gallery and Vice Chair of Opera North. I led Hull 2017 City of Culture, which was great fun. In 2025 I went back to University and am studying French at Birkbeck College. I have run 12 marathons and loads of half marathons, and I have climbed Kilimanjaro with one of my children. He was the youngest person in the party and I was the oldest!
