Sakhila Mirza is President of Responsible Gold, a blockchain-powered ecosystem advancing the ethical sourcing and traceability of gold from mine to vault. In her role, she leads the company’s global strategy, overseeing its next phase of growth with a focus on innovation, operational execution, and expanding industry engagement.
She also serves as a Portfolio Manager at Pandion Asset Management, a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission-registered investment adviser.
Prior to joining Responsible Gold, Sakhila was the deputy CEO and General Counsel at the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), where she played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation. For over a decade she has been at the forefront of establishing and advancing global market standards, with a strong emphasis on market integrity, governance, legal and compliance. She has led the formulation and implementation of the LBMA’s Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability strategy and has been instrumental in fostering strategic collaborations across the precious metals value chain. As a leading voice for the industry, Sakhila has frequently appeared as an expert speaker, and has actively engaged with policymakers, regulators, non-governmental organisations, and the media. Her expertise spans developing responsible sourcing, regulatory frameworks, and market infrastructure.
Sakhila also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Endeavour Mining, a FTSE 100 company, and as a Trustee of Speakers for Schools, a UK-based social mobility charity. She earned an LL.B in Law at the London School of Economics and is a qualified solicitor.
