Tony worked at the Bank of England for 20 years, before moving into academia for several years, latterly as the Professor of Economics at Birmingham University. Tony has published academic research in macro, monetary policy and econometrics. Tony’s economic commentary has featured in The Economist, Prospect, The Financial Times, The Guardian and others.
