Fuelling Careers with Siemens Energy

Operating in over 90 countries, Siemens Energy plays a vital role across the global energy landscape – from renewable power and smart grid technology, to storage solutions and complex industrial systems.
In June 2025, Siemens Energy UK partnered with Futures For All to deliver a 3-day virtual work experience placement designed to raise awareness of STEM careers in the energy sector. This remote programme helped young people explore real-world opportunities, build employability skills, and make informed career decisions.

Exploring Careers in Energy
The online work experience gave students a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to work in one of the most important industries shaping our future. Participants met remotely with professionals from across Siemens Energy to understand how their work contributes to a cleaner, more efficient energy system.
Students took part in interactive activities, group projects and Q&A sessions with industry professionals. They even had the opportunity to work on their CVs with support from Siemens Energy’s recruitment team, gaining valuable insight into what employers look for when hiring for STEM and engineering roles.

96% said they felt more confident about achieving their career ambitions after completing the placement.
